The Vikings offer an intensive summer training session from May through the middle of August, and a winter maintenance session from September through April. Learn more about our summer session here and our winter maintenance program here.

Speed Swimming

The Vikings program offers six levels of training from introductory to advanced. Speed swimming includes freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, breaststroke, individual medley, and relays. Participation in meets is encouraged. Swimmers should be able to swim one length (25 metres) of each of freestyle and backstroke.

Fun Events for the Whole Family

Locations and Practice Schedules

The Vikings practice at a variety of pools on the west side of Vancouver including Hillcrest Centre, Kerrisdale Community Centre, Lord Byng Pool, the Vancouver Aquatic Centre and St. George’s Sr. Pool. Visit our Practice Schedule page for more information.
