Winter Maintenance Fees

Fall Session (Sep-Dec 2018)**:

  • Returning swimmer (per swimmer) – $225
  • New swimmer (per swimmer) – $275 (includes BCSSA fee)
  • Late registration (per swimmer; after 11:59 pm on September 1, 2018) – $50

Winter Session (Jan-Apr 2019)**:

  • Returning swimmer (per swimmer) – TBD
  • New swimmer (per swimmer) – TBD (includes BCSSA fee)
  • Late registration for returning swimmers (per swimmer; after 11:59 pm on date TBD)

Summer Fees

Summer Season (May-Aug 2018):**

Swimming

  • First child in family: $750
  • Second child in family: $750
  • Additional Children: $650
  • Late registration (per swimmer): $75

Volunteering

  • First child in family: $225
  • Second child in family: $0
  • Additional Children: $0

Summer Swimming Payment & Refund Policy

Swimming fees, fundraising deposits and volunteering deposits are all due and payable at the time of online registration. All payments must be made using our online payment system.

The following trial period and refund policies apply to our summer swimming sessions ONLY.

Requests for withdrawal must be made in writing to registrar@vancouvervikings.com.

Two-week Trial

A two-week trial period is available to new registrants (i.e. a swimmer who has not previously been a Viking) only, so that they can “try out” swimming with the Vikings with minimal financial risk. New registrants must register and pay the full registration fees. If after the first two weeks of practice, a new registrant decides that they do not want to continue with the Vikings, a refund of the all fees and deposits less $75 will be granted. To withdraw, contact our club registrar no later than May 15 by email to request a refund.

Refund of Fees

Other than the Two-week Trial, refunds will not be allowed unless the reason for discontinuing is the result of an injury or illness, and is supported by a written note from a physician. The amount to be refunded will be dictated by the date the request is received, in writing, by the Club President, Registrar, or Treasurer.

There will be no refund of the BCSSA portion of the registration fee.

The amount of the club fee refunded will be pro-rated as follows:

  • if the request is received before May 31, 75%
  • if received between May 31 and June 15, 50%
  • if received between June 15 and July 15, 25%
  • after July 15, there will be no refunds

Refund of Fundraising and Volunteering Deposits

Fundraising deposits and volunteering deposits provided at the time of registration will be refunded upon successful completion of required volunteer and fundraising hours.  To read more about this, please visit our parents section here.

If advance deposit of the summer volunteering and fundraising fees creates a financial hardship for your family, please contact our club registrar before registering to discuss alternate payment arrangements regarding these amounts.

The following refund policy applies to our winter maintenance sessions ONLY:

Requests for withdrawal must be made in writing to registrar@vancouvervikings.com.

Where a written request is received by the end of the first two weeks of the applicable winter maintenance session, the Vikings will refund the swimmer’s fees paid for that session LESS a $50 administrative fee.

No refunds will be provided after the first two weeks of the applicable winter maintenance session, unless there are extenuating circumstances, in which case, refunds will be made on a case-by-case basis.
