PROGRAMS

The Vancouver Vikings offer an intensive summer training program from May to mid-August, along with a winter maintenance program from September to April. Learn more about each program above. 

Speed Swimming
Our program includes six training levels, from introductory to advanced. Swimmers learn all competitive strokes—freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly—as well as individual medley and relays. Participation in meets is encouraged. Swimmers should be able to swim one 25 m length of both freestyle and backstroke.

Top Level Coaching
Our experienced coaching staff are dedicated to helping swimmers reach their full potential. All coaches have competed at a high level and bring valuable knowledge to the program.

Family Events
Throughout the summer season, we organize social events for swimmers and their families, including dinners, picnics, and more to building a strong sense of community.

Locations & Schedules
Practices are held at several west-side Vancouver pools, including Hillcrest Centre, Lord Byng Pool, Vancouver and St. George’s Senior School Pool.
