Coach Erin is very excited to be returning for her second summer season with the Vikings! Having previously coached the MV1s, she is looking forward to the new and exciting challenges that will come with leading an older group.

Erin was a competitive swimmer for 15 years. Originally from Guelph Ontario, Erin swam with the Guelph Marlins for 10 years before joining the UBC Swim Team in 2012 (alongside Head Coach Jon Kraft). She completed her Kinesiology degree during her five years on the swim team. While at UBC, she worked under Jozsef Nagy and Steve Price. Her best stroke was breaststroke, placing as high as 5th in the 100m breaststroke at the 2016 Canadian Olympic Trials. She was also successful in the 200 IM, winning the Canada West Championship in the 200m IM her last two years.

Erin comes to the team with years of coaching experience. Some of the local clubs she currently coaches with include: the UBC Masters Swim team, Vikings Winter Maintenance, and FastLane. Having been taught by some of the best technical coaches in the country, Erin prides herself on a deep understanding of swimming technique. She believes that successful swimmers are technical swimmers with outstanding work ethic.

Erin is looking forward to May 1st and has her eyes set on another team win at Provincials!
